Susan's Driving School

FAQ's

Q) Why should I have professional driving lessons?
Research shows that learner drivers who are provided with a structured approach to their training are safer, more competent drivers and are involved in fewer accidents.

Q) Should I learn in an automatic or manual vehicle?
It is easier to learn in an automatic vehicle, because there are no clutches or gears to worry about. You may have easier access to an automatic vehicle to practice in. However if you obtain an automatic license you will not be licensed to drive a manual vehicle. We would be happy to discuss your options further.

Q) How much practice do I need?
It is important to get as much practice as possible in all types of weather and road conditions – at least 120 hours before you receive your probationary license. Take every opportunity to drive, as even the shortest trips to the shops or school all add up.

Q) How many lessons do I need before I'm ready for my test?
This depends on the individual. Everyone has different learning abilities. Your experience and confidence level can determine the number of lessons you may need. You also need to take into account the hours of supervised driving necessary to meet your logbook requirements.

Q) What type of cars does Susan's Driving School use?
We use modern vehicles fitted with dual controls for safety.

Q) Can you pick up/ drop off at different locations?
Yes, we can pick up from home, work, and school, and then drop off at a predetermined location at the end of your lesson.

Q) How do I pay for my lessons?
We accept cash at the time of your lessons.
